About Me

I am a mom of 2 wonderful young ladies who eat gluten free. M was diagnosed with celiac disease when she was 15 months old. It was a relief to finally have an answer to what was wrong with my baby but also a tremendous challenge trying to learn how to feed her. Cooking for and feeding my daughter has been a surprising adventure, and I learned that I really do love to cook…I just HATE to clean. My second daughter C began eating gluten free just before she left for college when a year filled with severe migraines and terrible vertigo like symptoms were brushed off by conventional medicine. I looked up some of her symptoms online and thought a gluten intolerance could be what ails her. We immediately started her on a GF diet and the results were quick. The best part was no medications, no side effects and an extreme reduction in the number of migraines and debilitating symptoms she suffered. Her lactose intolerance has even diminished. leaving me to believe it is possible that milk/lactose was not the culprit all along.

This blog is a way to share my love of cooking and my experiences learning to live a gluten free lifestyle.
